About Us
We are a small family-owned business located in Murray, KY, Jerry Don Tucker started the business located on old 641 in Almo, KY in a garage behind his house. In 1982 the business then moved to its current location on highway 641 later selling to his oldest son, Terry in 1999. Terry and Jan ran the business until 2013 when they sold it to the current owners, Darren and Ashley Crick. Darren started here in 1995 as a co-op student, becoming full time once graduating in 1996.
We are an old school speed shop, still doing most things the old way on old equipment. We do not have any CNC machines here, still looking up parts in books if able and can have most parts ordered and here within a couple days if we do not have what you need in stock.
Services
We can do machine work on most block, cranks and heads. What we have listed below is just a basic list of what we offer. As of January 2023, we are not building complete engines or short blocks, if things slowdown in the machining area later then we can pick those jobs back up.
We started accepting block and cranks again the first of January 2024, due to the amount we have gotten in, we have to put a stop to any more coming in. Effective 2/5/24 we cannot take in any block and cranks to be machined; we are at a 3–4 month turnaround with what we do have. Hopefully in a couple to a few months we can start accepting them again, look for updates here or on our Facebook page.
We will not be doing any engine assembly.
As of 2/13/2024 we have to slow our intake of cylinder head work, with that being said we will only be able to accept heads that need milling and/or pressure checking for the time being. We hope this will allow us to work on the jobs we currently have in que. Even on that the turn around on those jobs can be a month or so.
